A citizen's relationship to the government is much like a dysfunctional marriage:
One must pay taxes to become an engaged citizen. To become engaged, one must also spend 3-4 months salary on a wedding ring.
That's not all, once in this dysfunctional marriage, your wife will demand that you give the money you earned at work to her loafing brother: you know, to help him get back on his feet.
She'll then ask for more money; this time telling you to "invest" your money in her friend's failing business because he's "so close" to creating a fuel alternative.
As dysfunctional as this may seem, it is still better than divorce. Then again, Barack Obama plans on taking half of what you make anyway.
